If it was bad, let us remedy that.
If it was good, I’m jealous.

Goodship, purveyors of the raw unbleached whole grain hotness for quite some time now, are making all the way around the bases with this one. Yeah yeah yeah: you know we are bringing our usual awesome stable of trix, and then beefing it up with McGillicuddy and We Are Architects, but then our cup freaking runneth over with the dual attack of Charlie Everywhere and BEWARE! The Other Head of Science. Maybe you have heard of them from a little thing I like to call “my well-earned hyperbole that is in this very message you are reading right now and thus not necessarily an outside reference”, and you know said tome always leads you the opposite of astray. Tomorrow, we may die (or, to be more realistic and way less depressing, probably sleep in too late and watch “Sister Act” on Oxygen… again), but tonight, we live! See you at the madcap, good + plenty.
sound:
BEWARE! The Other Head of Science (some caps + an exclamation point? it is on, my friend)
Charlie Everywhere (everywhere, as in “everywhere you want to be, vladimir”)
We Are Architects (… and we are impressed by what you are constructing)
DJ McGillicuddy (hula hooping her sounds straight down to your toes)
back from japan (the ruth buzzi of this crew)
jenkins (the honus wagner of this crew)
vision:
blar (ya got moxie, kid)
color commentary (some assembly acquired)
skfl (pitchshifting from irrelevance to super irrelevance & back again w/ a stop right about here)
From Getweird:
“In the words of Output/Playgroup head honcho Trevor Jackson: ‘actually can’t believe you’re releasing this fucking record! This shit is amazing’. Quite. ‘Township Funk’ by Mujava aka Elvis Maswangayi is finally out through Warp Records on September 15th and it’s some tough, percussive dance music from Pretoria, South Africa.”
i was not into the song at all, but after about a minute of it i cant stop playing it over and over.
Saturday, Sept. 13. Sponsored by Southern Comfort, the eight-hour, two-stage, ten-band music fest will take over the parking lot of the Saratoga Race Course for a free music fest for those 21 and over.
Only two bands have offically been announced so far the French DJ duo Justice and the Brooklyn-based indie popsters MGMT.

So, I took the first half of the mix that I did live (down below) and popped it into ableton so that I could add on to it and work on it when I’m not near my decks. I really like how it worked out, and I got to add a bunch of my (and kevin’s I think) recent favorite tracks to the Mix. Please please, let me know what you think of it and it makes you want to shake your booty.

Most importantly for now though, don’t forget next Thursday (June 26) at the UAG. Shows this good don’t hit town often, so we really hope to see you there. Make sure to get there early too - space may be a bit limited, but we’ll do our best!
